Solstice Golden Mountain Mug
Mug in tan stoneware clay, speckled with sand from Whaingaroa, hand-thrown on a potters wheel and glazed in a my own dessert-toned satin matte glaze. Fired to 1300°C in a gas kiln. Hand painted 9ct gold sun, moon, stars and mountain tops add the finishing sparkle. Named the solstice mug after the Summer Solstice which it was fired on, where the sun and the moon are in the sky at the same time.
Perfect for your desired brew, these cups are fired three times. No two are the exact same, each one carved before being fired, making a handmade piece which is uniquely one of a kind.
Size is approximate as each mug has slight variations due to the handmade nature. Volume is approximately 400ml.
Not dishwasher or microwave safe due to the gold.
